Ture Waji is the king of Guji! Well, that's the nickname that he's earned for being one of the producers that really put Guji on everyone's radar as one of the most distinct coffee growing regions in Ethiopia. He's been producing for about nine years, and his dedication to quality is something he's had since the beginning. This natural lot comes from the Uraga district in Guji and is grown at very high elevations. Ture buys cherries from 110 smallholder producers in the area and processes them at his station, Dida Hora. This coffee is represents why people like coffee from Guji so much. It's sweet, smooth, and has a tea-like body.
When brewing, look for notes of Plum, Honeydew, and Key Lime in the cup.
Roaster's Notes: This is one of those coffee's that jumped off the cupping table the very first time that I tasted it. Its vibrant fruitiness and sweetness make it the perfect of example of why coffees from Guji are some of my favorites.
